Up to a foot of snow forecast for central and southern Colorado today!. And, while all the resorts still need snow, this is the best early season in at least 3 years. Much more terrain is open this year so far, and this new round of snow should increase open terrain dramatically!
Ski season has started, time to get in shape!
Fitness Tips: You’ll be at high elevation (8000’-12500’) with low humidity, both of which will stress your body. Fitness is a key element to maximize your enjoyment and help prevent injury. In addition to cardio (running/eliptical/stairmaster/exercise bike) you also need to strengthen your leg, stomach, and low back muscles. Most people concentrate on the quads but it’s also important trip to strengthen hamstrings, calves, and the inner and outer leg muscles to balance the strength of all the leg muscles. Attaching a long stretchy band to a table or desk is great for working the inner and outer leg muscles. Start now to get in shape, even if your trip is late in the season!
